Overcoming all obstacles. My experience.

The only thing I was scared in my first year of college was speaking in English. Fortunately I have overcome that hurdle. But today when my juniors asked me to write my Enactus journey, I just discovered another scary thing i.e. writing in English. I wish someone would have asked to do this before. Even today when I am at the last streets of college life, ENACTUS is again forcing me to improve one more aspect of my personality. The ENACTUS journey for me is like that motivating agent which has always and will continue to inspire me to face my weaknesses.
After this intensive and amazing learning period, I am turned into a person who doesn’t find any fear to go against winds if required. In a few lines I will say:

रोक सको तो रोक लो मूझे कमबख्त दूनिया वालो

जरआ जमीं से उठकर आसमान हो ना जाये

आधियों ने की है परवरिस इस चिराग की

इन्तला कर दो मुश्किलों को कहीं खाक हो ना जाये

My journey did not start with a normal recruitment for any organisation. When my seniors came to my class to announce the recruitments of ENACTUS, I was highly determined to get into it. But when time came I was not considered not up to the mark to fit in this elite group of students.  I was highly disappointed as a failed in one more club interview.

After this highly de-motivating start of my life in this domain, I started believing that these groups were not meant for me. But some spark was still buried deep inside me; I was busy in finding what we commonly call ‘jugaad’ to get into ENACTUS. During this time, I realized that the recruitment rules were not as hard as I was told by my seniors. As my first semester passed, a lot of students unfit for ENACTUS left the organisation and very few were left. That is when I got my chance to join the ENACTUS squad officially.

Today if someone asks me about just one memorable thing about my journey, it would be skipping lunch and attending meetings or some other field work (Gaurav and Saurabh, my co-workers, were part of it; Gaurav`s lunch was like ‘SANJEENVNI BOOTI’ in those days).
A lot of sacrifices were made by me like missing holidays, bunking classes, skipping hostel trips. But I must mention that they were made not only by me, but I was accompanied by my whole team as well. The enthusiasm of my teammates was a constant motivation for me and this is one very important aspect which one learns when working in a team.
This Enactus journey was an awesome one which gave me coolest seniors, lovely juniors and two caring friends (Saurabh and Gaurav). Time will pass, memories will fade, feelings will faint, distances will increase, cities will change but this person inside me will always be thankful to this organisation till my last breath for everything.
I won’t say that it has converted me into a priceless diamond but I can definitely say that I am not left as coal as well.

Through Enactus, I have gained in every aspect of my personality but most importantly it has helped me to contribute my bit into our society. It is difficult to pen down everything in such a short space and even more difficult to say good bye. It was very painful when I got a message to express my journey, as that is when it really hit me that I need to depart, my journey is about to end. Although this journey ends but I will never forget the role of this journey to take me to my next one.
A few lines which motivated me in this journey;

कह दो उन हवाओ से की अपने घरो को लौट जाये
हम परो से नही होंशलो से उड़ा करते है !
